I wrote “New Fallen Snow” over decades. With every chapter of love, it became something more. Really a tribute to the loss you feel, from time to time, and the love you feel, when reflecting on chapters of love. To a degree I wrote this for all of my chapter of love. It is a story of a snowflake and lost love.
My cousin Michael, one of my creative inspirations, is performing. – New Fallen Snow
Tomorrow’s Song is another song I wrote about longing for love. It has a second title Not Far Away… Couldn’t choose. I did sing this version also to my fish. (I posted a highlights video of my cinematography lower down on this page if you would like some visuals)
I love singing myself, but my voice is changing all of the time these days, it seems. I used to sing to my children when they could not sleep, especially my daughter Emily. I would sing this Billy Joel ballad called Lullaby, to her all of the time. Kind of cheesy I know. lol
I wrote this song many years ago and it went through one iteration or another from heartbreak to heartbreak… It is the song about a snowflake…not a great recording… but all the same found this recording today and thought I would share it.. Of course I was singing to my fish, and I am not my cousin who recorded New Fallen Snow professionally. I hope you enjoy……
Tomorrow’s Song is another song I wrote about longing for love. It has a second title Not Far Away… Couldn’t choose. I did sing this version also to my fish. Seems they like music as much as I do and I am told they will live longer if I sing to them. All of the video highlights that accompany the song are from my work as a producer, director, and cinematographer…. Tomorrow’s Song
My entire family would probably say that I used to drive them crazy singing in the shower. I sing everywhere, especially when I am walking. My father used to whistle all of the time in the garden and he loved music, so I was influenced at a young age. Both of my parents were great dancers and really had a great appreciation for music. White Christmas – Performed by me John Joseph Dowling Jr. ( I am sure I messed up the words lol)
